I made this in elementary school....20+ years ago. A candle was supposed to go on top of his head, dripping wax through a hole which would then drip out of his mouth (which made perfect sense as a little kid). His tongue, left eye, and right wing have since gone their own ways.

Delicate: The Human heart

This was taken in the cath lab. The image is from the screen of what is essentially a real-time x-ray. You can't really see the heart but the image is actually looking right through it. Notice the staples from a previous coronary bypass surgery (they might be stents) which are outlining the heart. There's also a ring visible from some calcification of one of the hearts valves. The wire is a guidewire put in through the femoral vein in the leg which is guided all the way to the heart for the procedure. The large wires were put in after a previous open heart surgery to put the ribs back together.

Click on the picture to see a video. It should be a lot easier to tell it's a heart.

This picture & my PhotoFriday post for "chaos" were both from the my visit to work with a rural doctor during my Family Medicine Clerkship. It just so happened that the County Fair was that week so I was able to experience a lot of stuff (like the demolition derby) that I hadn't seen before.
